The problem

Zoom invites live in email, calendar descriptions, or a chat message from three days ago. Finding the right one at the right second, every single meeting, is exactly the kind of small friction that adds up to real lateness.

The solution

Once connected, Auto Join Meetings recognizes Zoom links (zoom.us/j/..., zoom.us/s/..., and the web client) in your calendar events and opens the tab automatically ahead of time — this works exactly as reliably as it does for any other provider.

What changed in 1.7.3, and the limits

Up to version 1.7.2, Zoom auto-click was an early prototype: it reached the meeting but could not confirm it, because Zoom hides its toolbar when the mouse is still. Version 1.7.3 confirms entry from the meeting itself, also recognizes the guest view, and clicks Join on the pre-join screen. In our own test it went from the calendar to inside the Zoom meeting in 9 seconds.

Being straight about the limits: it works in the browser (Zoom web client), not in the Zoom desktop app. It only acts on meeting tabs the extension opened itself. It never types anything: a passcode that isn't in the invite link, a guest name, or a waiting room are yours to finish. Tested live as the meeting host; guest joins were tested in simulation. Tell us at support if a meeting doesn't go through.

FAQ

Does Auto Join Meetings click Join for Zoom automatically?

Yes, on paid plans. From extension version 1.7.3 it chooses Join from browser, clicks Join on the pre-join screen when there is one, and confirms you are in the meeting. It works in the browser, not in the Zoom desktop app.

When do I still need to act?

If Zoom asks for a passcode that is not in the invite link, asks a guest to type a name, or puts you in a waiting room, you finish that step. On the Free plan the tab opens on time and you click Join yourself.
