We're not going to claim otherwise: full auto-click for Teams isn't shipped yet, unlike Google Meet, where it's already reliable on Basic (see our Google Meet auto-click breakdown). We'd rather tell you exactly where things stand for Microsoft Teams than oversell it.

Why "tab opens automatically, click stays manual" is still worth it

In practice, most of the time lost to late Teams joins isn't the click itself — it's everything before it: remembering the meeting is happening, finding the invite, opening Outlook, clicking the link, waiting for the tab to load.
