Send Meeting Follow-Ups to Microsoft To Do or Asana
Auto Join Meetings already gets you into a call on time. The next gap is what happens the moment it ends: the follow-up task that lives in your head for twenty minutes until you remember to open a different app and type it in. Auto Join Meetings now connects directly to Microsoft To Do and Asana, so that follow-up takes one click, from the same place you already manage your meetings.
The problem: follow-up work lives in a different app than your meetings
A meeting ends, and the useful three seconds of "I should follow up on that" evaporate the moment you switch tabs. By the time you actually open your task manager, you're reconstructing what you meant to write instead of just writing it.
What's new: two more places to send a task
Auto Join Meetings already had Slack notifications, generic webhooks, and CRM tasks (HubSpot, Salesforce). Microsoft To Do and Asana extend that same idea to personal and team task management:
- Microsoft To Do — connects to the same Microsoft account you may already use for Calendar sync, but through a separate, minimal permission (only task read/write access — connecting Calendar never grants this, and vice versa).
- Asana — connects through its own dedicated sign-in. A task lands in your default workspace, assigned to you, ready to triage.
How it works today
Open the extension's Dashboard, click "Manage Integrations," and connect whichever one you use. Once connected, "Send Test Task" creates a real task in your own account right then — useful right after a call while the context is still fresh, without leaving the tab you're already in.
We're building this out further into full meeting-to-task automation (a task created automatically when a meeting ends, based on rules you set) — that piece isn't live yet, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than claim it early. What ships today is the one-click connection and task creation described above, already working against real Microsoft To Do and Asana accounts.
What never leaves your device or account
Auto Join Meetings never reads your task lists, never creates a task without you clicking the button, and never sends a meeting title or participant list anywhere — just the operational task text you'd type yourself. See the Integrations help article for the exact permissions each connection uses.
Getting started
Both connections are free to set up — Auto Join Meetings doesn't require a paid Microsoft or Asana plan for this, and neither does Microsoft To Do or Asana's own free tier. Full setup steps, including what each connection can and can't do, are in the Integrations help article.
