What's automated today

Once you connect your Google Calendar and/or Outlook calendar, Auto Join Meetings detects the Zoom link on each event and opens that meeting's tab automatically a few minutes before it starts — no digging through the invite, no copy-pasting. This works the same way it does for Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.

Setting it up

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Connect your calendar (Google, Outlook, or both).
That's it — any event with a Zoom link is picked up automatically going forward.

Where we're honest about limits

The last step — actually clicking into the Zoom call — is currently an early prototype, gated to paid plans. We'd rather tell you that plainly than let a feature list overpromise. Zoom's own client behaves differently across desktop app vs. browser vs. version, which makes reliable auto-click harder to guarantee than it is for Google Meet, where full hands-free join (auto-click "Join now" plus entry confirmation) already works reliably on Basic.

Why the tab-opening step still matters on its own

Even without the final click automated, having the tab already open and waiting removes the two most common causes of a late Zoom join: not finding the right link fast enough, and the few seconds it takes Zoom's page to load before you can click "Join." You show up, the tab's already there, and you click once.
